Wordy Wednesday

Feel free to use the following image as a wallpaper of screen saver if you like.

There is a song we sang in church when I was a kid. It goes like this:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases

His mercies shall never come to an end

They are new every morning

New every morning

Great is thy faithfulness oh, God

Great is thy faithfulness

The lyrics were taken from Lamentations 3:22-23. I always found it rather ironic that such encouraging lines are found in the unlikely collection of laments.

22It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

I remember that song. It’s a shame we don’t sing some of those old songs any more.

Looks beautiful as my desktop background. What a wonderful reminder every morning when I turn on my laptop. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks – love the pic.

Great is thy faithfulness is quite possibly one of my favourite hymns – apparently my mum sang it to me when she was pregnant with me and then when I was a baby.
