Carin, thank you! I heard a quote once: "When you need to have something done ask a busy person to do it, Busy people know how to get stuff done." I kinda get into a zone during certain times of my life. I used to yearn for balance in my daily or even weekly way of life. It took off a bunch of pressure when I permitted myself to recognize the seasons like waves. Now I go with the flow. When it is time to hunker down and work hard I can do it. Then when it is time to pull back and rest I can do that too.

Oh, and anyone who 'finishes' the 50,000 words in 30 days is proclaimed a 'winner'. So far there are about 32,000 winners. 'Round about 19% of the total number of participants.

Ellie, your characters have a mind of their own, too? It is very interesting. Their behavior changed a good 2/3 of what I had planned for the book. I got all panicky at the end there trying to work it out like I wanted. There are still some dangling scenes where we could not come to a peaceable agreement so we decided to let things cool off a bit and come back around to the issues at a later date. Maybe they will listen to me then. (They will probably win, though.)

Maureen, thank you! Next year - you and me, kid. If you start mulling it over now you might have a pretty formidable outline (beginning, middle and end at least) to burst out all over next November.
