Oh AWESOME! Looking back and seeing the future. What a concept! I love it!

"Does God remember how it was in the Garden of Eden?"

Loved that insight. Never have thought of that before.

I think I know how you feel.

Back in April or May, stuff like Facebook updates from friends who are students or stay-at-home moms started getting to me a bit. You know: five more days, school's almost out, etc.

It just doesn't seem fair that so many people have the right to summers off while the rest of us work full-time same like always. I got wistful, envious, had to bite back judgmental and self-pitying comments.

Paul's letter to the Philippians helps... to do all things through him who gives me strength? To find the secret of being content in every situation? Sounds good to me! And it doesn't often take much self examination to see the tremendous blessings in one's own life that far outweigh the sacrifices.

I also miss home so much during the summer. Hearing all about vacations, cookouts, camping etc. But you're right....we look forward to the future! :)

Angie,

I'll trade you my sunburn for your extra blankies. Ha ha.

I do love the summer. But I also love throwing extra blankies on in the winter. I guess that just means I love warmth.

I hope you are enjoying lots of extra snuggles that cooler weather tends to bring along.
