… connecting heart to heart. Creating the connection is the fun part. Just think of all the resources that we have at our fingertips for creating and nurturing connections with other human beings. This phenomenon fascinates me.
The following are some recent tangible connections with some friends that I have received as gifts. Thanks guys!
Blogging friend: Joy Forney. This is the shirt I bought with the gift certificate I won from a drawing she did on her blog.
Facebook friend: Amanda Truxal. Amazing what a little status line can lead to. Oh, they are so yummy!
Mountain mama friend: Kathy Grant. This woman lives by the motto “See a need and meet it“. Amazing.
Santa Cruz friends: Claudia and Limber Benavides and their three precious children Angie, Elias, and now Jimmy Caleb. I got to meet this little 12 day old wonder yesterday. The unconditional time they give me is their gift.
Pastor friend: Brian Zahnd. He wrote this book! It is in Spanish and English. So cool! The English copy hard back is signed. Wow!
Sister friend: Peri Zahnd. We share a deep love of books. Every time we are together we talk about books, recommend books and, of course, give books.
New friend: Lacy Inscho. This gal came to Bolivia to photograph the kids of the orphanage. She ended up doing a full professional photo shoot for the Washington family. This is the first time we have had professional photos taken. What a wonderful gift!

You do have lots of great friends. What a blessing! This is funny that people there say Whiskey instead of Cheese.
Jackie – I wondered if Whiskey was used in other countries like it is here.
Jutta – I really do have some great friends. I thank the Lord for it!
What a sweet post. I love it. Also, I love Peeps too!!! I like them stale, which is perfect for missionary life since I always get them way past their season. Yum!!! Here is a funny site that you might enjoy: http://www.peepresearch.org/ I found it ages ago, and only someone with a deep love for Peeps will truly appreciate it. Take care!
