Having parents who are the founders of the school you attend exempts you from all approval processes that are set in place. This is the case for my children. School starts on February 2, which is a week from Monday. They did not have to meet any set of requirements to be accepted into the school because DaRonn and I founded it. There is only one other group of kids that were able to evade the approval process: the boys and girls from our orphanage. The rest of the students have to meet requirements.
Read this:
“… He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:4-6)
We have been adopted as sons of God. We are chosen by God. We are holy. We are without blame. We are loved. This brings God pleasure. This brings praise to the glory of His grace. We are accepted in the Beloved.
This means that our intrinsic worth is established in our existence. We are accepted. There is not a list of requirements that determine if we will be approved or rejected. How good to know that we can stop striving and simply be.

@ng,
what great thoughts, great connection. Praise God!
All that just goes to show it’s not what you know that counts, it’s who you know!
That’s a great reminder! Thanks!
Pastor Angie,
Let me know if this is a problem. Otherwise, thank you!!!

Mom – That’s right.
Jutta –
Roxx – No problem at all. Thank YOU!
for what it’s worth:
i can’t help but think that if i were one of the students who got in without going through the normal process, i’d wish i had. because i’d wonder how i’d match up to those who did.
Alece – Your opinion is always worth something to me.
The normal process, in this case, is more an evaluation if the parents are going to be able to shoulder the financial responsibilities and if they are cool with our teaching methodology and doctrinal stance. When we introduce the grades beyond 6th we may be taking into consideration more the behavior and academic performance of the new students. Still though, our acceptance is not so heavily based on intelligence, rather on capabilities of payment and first-come-first-serve.
So good. So true.
I love the image that we are adopted by God! It makes me smile so much
