From the dark brown metal gate separating our property from the busy street called America you walk up a long drive way. You pass the guest quarters, pass the first floor entrance to the office all the way until you have to turn left. There are three flights of stairs. Options one and three leads to “La Planeta de Fe” which is our children’s ministry. The stairs with the fancy banister takes you to our second floor apartment. The small yard has a few plants and a plum tree. The gated yard has a dog and leads to the clothes washing area. More than once people have described our property as a sprawling maze.
The images are tri-fold today. The first is a collage of some shots of our stairway and door. The second is the view from our front balcony. The third is a minute long video without sound.
For now this will be where we pause on our home tour. The rest will be done by video when we set aside time for me to learn how to use the camera and video editing program we use in the office. It was very nice of you all to be interested in where we live.
Tell me about a time that you were hesitant to walk through a door.

Lovely doors! And nice roomy place. Can’t wait to see more!
I love the colors! White and that warm deep terracotta red. Lovely. Thanks for the tour!
Hesitant to walk through a door … hmmmm … Well I think for a bit when I started dating Ben. I was pretty sure he was the one I was waiting for, but I wanted to be cautious; not make any headlong errors.
Literal door … yeah, I can’t think of any.
those stairs would be killer after a grocery store run.
Re: the last comment – those stairs aren’t nothing after you mastered the Cristo!!!! HA!! Smile!!
Still enjoying the home tour!
true, true.
but doing the Cristo with arms full of heavy-laden bags would be ROUGH!
I always hesitate before walking into a classroom on the first day of class. Is this the right room? Am I here on the right day, at the right time? I take a deep breath and step inside.
I love your stairway pictures. I happen to like pictures of stairs in general… I’m not a big fan of climbing stairs though…
cool! i had to have the video muted because everyone is sleeping. i’ll have to watch again tomorrow.
@Danielle – Are you making a joke? ‘Cause the video has no sound… my rinky dink camera serves me well for still shots, but it doesn’t have a mic for the videos. So I am in the age before sound. One day I will evolve to be able to put ‘talkies’ movies on my site.
@Amy E. – I love climbing stairs. I love pictures of stairs. But I didn’t think many people would share my fascination of images of such interesting structures so I made the photos tiny. And your classroom door example – - – I totally relate.
@Alece – For the grocery runs there are three stages. First unloading the taxi inside the gate, second bringing the bags and boxes up the long drive way to the bottom of the stairs, finally up the stairs into the house. It IS a rough process. But you feel so ‘king of the hill’ when you are done with it.
@Anita la esposita – Making life decisions is a good time to Selah.
@Libby – You got your link to your site but your picture disappeared. Thanks for the vote of confidence with the stairs. They keep us healthy.
@Natalie – What video editing program do you use? Our office has a fancy-dancy one that is a bit intimidating for this beginning filmmaker. I am anxious to get more videos on my site but don’t quite know where to begin with the technical bits. Creativity and ideas are abounding; skills and equipment not so much.
Thanks for sharing.
You are more than welcome, Brandy.
Thanks for reading along.
I have totally enjoyed getting a visual on where you call home!!
I love the stairs (not fubn with groceries and kids I am sure) but tell me more about the quilt! I have th quilting bug! – Jackie
@Amy – I am excited about getting into video (with sound) so I can take you on a real / virtual tour.
@Jackie Sue – The textiles you saw were woven wool.
