The Goose Egg part
My son will be two years old in September. He is a joy in the household; the great big huge majority of the time. Then there are the times that God is working patience, grace, diligence, patience, grace, self-control, patience, grace, mercy, patience, grace, endurance, hope, and (did I mention?) patience and grace in my life through this little kiddo. I am grateful that God has blessed us with this boy.
So he is a climber. Stairs, shelves, beds, table, chairs, tall ladders on the big slide in the park… you name it he will climb it. And usually he does ok. Usually. Twice this week his climbing expeditions have ended with bumps on his noggin. So now he has matching goose eggs on either side of his forehead; one is already in the yellow stage the other is still a bit purplish.
Now the gander part
So I have run into a few great websites that you may want to take a gander at. Happy clicking!
- “Secret Gallery” – This is my mom’s pottery and gallery business.
- “The Gracious Bowl” – Lots of great soup recipes and ideas.
- “How to Freeze Soup” – Make a huge pot and enjoy the goodness later.
- “Brad Ruggles Blog” – A guy with a refreshingly enjoyable blog.
- “Biblegateway” – Bunches of translations and easy search of the bible.

Thanks for the shout-out. Glad you enjoy the blog!
If you like my stuff be sure to check out my wife’s blog that we’re launching this week – http://www.lisaruggles.com. She’s married to me, so you KNOW it’s gotta be good!
This post was moderately painful for me to read. Mostly the references to geese. *Twitch*
roo – Oh my! I didn’t even think about your phobia. How will you ever find it in your heart to forgive me? Perdoname por favor.
bradruggles – I will be sure to do that. Thanks for the heads up.
I remember those days. Emily’s legs were always bruised up and down. They looked like we abused her but she was really rough player. Thanks for the post. I’m just getting up and running, lots to learn.
Hi @ngie, thanks so much for this mix of sites to go and visit. And I hope your little one is OK, ouch! It’s so amazing the energy that children have and so great the way God is blessing you and teaching you through your family
.
roo – I am so relieved.
Que bueno.
Lisa – Welcome! The good thing about bumps and bruises on kids is that they heal so fast. Have fun learning the ins and outs of blogging.
I’ve been at it for a year and a half now and I still feel I have so much to learn. That is probably why I like it so much!
Birgit – Thanks for your concern about my baby. He is lots better.
I think God will use whatever he can to teach us – if we are willing to learn. Blessings!
I was wondering why you hadn’t posted in a while and it turns out I never subscribed! Oops.
But I’m back now. Now to look at your suggested ganders…
slowly but surely I’m making my way back to blogesphere… love the new look and congrats on the domain- fun gift
!!!
Thanks for your guest post yesterday…I got out of the hospital later that day…I need to sit down and write a blog…but I’m tired and need a nap!
Tyler might need a helmet! Smile!
Take care!
Angie! *Sniff, sniff* I am missing you on Xanga!
Yay for links. I shall go check them out.
Have a great day!
Guess I get to look forward to these things right? Andrew’s not a climber yet, but the other day I caught him standing on his little plastic chair……I think it’s coming. People always comment on his little legs as he’s got bruises all the tip from bumping and falling. Poor boy! And Patience….yes!!!!!! Looking forward to getting your email! Hugs girl!! THanks for the good links!
Natalie – So I take it that you are now subscribed? The feed was not configured right on the day I launched my site – so you may have subscribed and it did not register correctly. I fixed the issue.
Amy – No worries! I totally understand your priorities are with your family right now. Enjoy your precious baby girl.
Libby – It was super fun doing the post for you! Thanks for allowing me to.
Get well soon!
Brandy – aaww, it feels nice to be missed.
Sarah – Some kids are more adventurous than others. Tyler is the only one (of the four) to have fallen down the stairs as a baby – and we had stairs every time the kids were little. But he has fallen down the stairs 3 times! For Tyler the standing on the chairs started when he was about 8 months old – when he was just pulling to a stand. It would be so fun to get our boys together!
awww… poor guy!
g&g – yeah, he’s a toughie though.
What a rough-and-tumble you have.
Such a great thing that God uses all kinds, huh? Especially since we are all images of Him. He’s rough-and-tumble too!
I love thoughts like that.
Thanks for the site recommendations! Don’t have time just this second … A few of them did interest me, though.
Annie – I don’t think I have ever considered that God would embody the characteristics of a toddler, such as being a rough and tumble guy, but it makes sense.
